About Cube
What’s a Cube, anyway?
Cube is a Magic: the Gathering format where players curate a list of custom cards, often several hundred, which are then distributed into packs and drafted to emulate opening packs of a retail Magic set. Players then build decks and play just like a normal draft.
What makes Cube different is that players aren’t constrained by what is printed in a set; Cubes often contain powerful Vintage cards, fancy premium treatments, or are based around themes like mono-colour or commons-only. This lets us get creative with what the experience of Limited/Draft can be without it needing to sell packs.
New here? Sign up & turn up.
If you have your own Cube, we’d love you to bring it and share! But if you’re new or don’t have a Cube, that’s great too! We welcome players of all experience levels.
How a night runs
- Arrive & sign in. Sign up to an event in our Discord so we know to expect you.
- Draft. You’ll get 3 packs of 15 cards; take one card and pass the rest of the pack on. Repeat until all the cards and packs are gone.
- Deckbuild. Build a 40-card deck with the cards you picked plus Basic Lands.
- Play. Your hosts will allocate you to 3 best-of-3 matches. Report your wins/losses for each round to help us coordinate the tournament.
